SARASOTA, FL--Jazz on the Water, the popular musical excursion on Sarasota Bay, casts off on Sunday, May 3, sponsored by the Jazz Club of Sarasota. The fun begins when LeBarge leaves from Sarasota’s Bayfront Park at 3 p.m. and wraps up at 5 p.m. The Katt Hefner Group, featuring vocalist Katt Hefner, pianist Kenny Drew Jr., John Lamb on bass, and Eddie Graham on drums, will entertain during the afternoon cruise. Ticket availability is limited by the size of LeBarge and the event usually sells out quickly. Tickets are $35, $30 for Jazz Club members, and are available at the Jazz Club office, 330 S. Pineapple Ave., Suite 111, Sarasota. The ticket fee covers the cost of the cruise and the music. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase on LeBarge.
