JewTopia-The Chosen Book for the Chosen People

After record breaking off-Broadway, Los Angeles, Chicago, Florida and Toronto runs, Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson, the creators and stars of Jewtopia and the best-selling Jewtopia: The Chosen Book for the Chosen People, comes to The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco on Sunday, May 11, 2008.

Like Billy Crystal’s 700 Sundays, WORLD OF JEWTOPIA, is a laugh-out-loud, interactive extravaganza combining scenes from their show, stand-up comedy, excerpts from their book and a dazzling multimedia presentation to craft an outrageously funny, one of a kind event! Among the many topics covered include how to pick the perfect restaurant table (because no table is right if you’re a Jew), how to properly disinfect your hotel room to avoid catching the plague when on vacation, actual excerpts from Moses’ recently discovered “lost diaries” and more!

WORLD OF JEWTOPIA has been hailed as the triumphant next step in Fogel and Wolfson’s dynamic careers. Be prepared for an evening filled with nonstop laughter and outrageous fun as this dynamic duo takes center stage!

The Off-Broadway sensation opened in New York on September 28, 2004 following a 16-month sold-out run at West Hollywood’s Coast Playhouse where it still holds the record as Los Angeles’ longest-running comedy. At the conclusion of its Off-Broadway run, Jewtopia played 1,079 performances making it the longest running off-Broadway comedy in NY history. The show has also enjoyed long runs in Chicago, Florida, Toronto and Tampa with productions currently running is Sarasota and Atlanta with Washington D.C. opening in November 2008.

The wildly successful and popular comedy has won praise from critics and fans alike. The Los Angeles Times cheered “Hilarious! Raucous! Merciless! …When Jewtopia hits its mark, which is frequently, it’s outrageously funny,” and Variety proclaimed the comedy "Entertaining! Wild! Raucous! Certain to hit home with ALL observers, whatever their religion.”

In November of 2006 Fogel and Wolfson celebrated the publication of Jewtopia: The Chosen Book for the Chosen People, an over-the-top, four-color, fully illustrated coffee-table book (Warner Books), that led to their appearance on ABC’s The View.

In August of 2008 they begin production on a film inspired by Jewtopia entitled O’Connell and Lipschitz Lose their Religion. Henry Winkler, Carrie Fisher, Larry Miller and both Bryan and Sam are thus far attached to star. Additionally, Fogel and Wolfson have an animated pilot in development and have just completed work on another screenplay entitled, Bisbee.
