Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart will perform at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on Friday, August 1st as part of his 18-city North American summer tour. This show will provide fans with the perfect summer setting to enjoy hits from throughout Stewart’s extraordinary four decade-long career. Special guest Bryan Adams will join Stewart on this stop. Tickets for this concert event will go on sale Monday, March 31st at 10 AM @ LiveNation.com.

Stewart, a true icon of rock, has sold more than 148 million records including 19 million in the last 5 years alone with his record breaking Great American Songbook series. In 2007, Stewart concluded his hugely successful world tour during which he performed 92 sold-out concerts in arenas and stadiums around the world. His previous tour, “From ‘Maggie May’ to the Great American Songbook Tour,” was sold out for three consecutive years and according to both Forbes and Rolling Stone, Stewart is one of the top grossing musical artists in the world.

With his trademark voice, Stewart has successfully commanded nearly every genre of music including folk, rock, soul, R&B and blues, to name a few. His countless hits include “Tonight’s the Night,” “You’re In My Heart,” “Maggie May,” “The First Cut is the Deepest,” “Downtown Train,” “Forever Young,” “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” and many more.

In addition to Stewart, fans at the tour’s first seven concert dates will be treated to an opening set by special guest Bryan Adams. Adams is best known for his Top 5 hits “Run To You,” “Somebody”, “Heaven,” “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You,” and the #1-single "All for Love,” a duet with Sting and Rod Stewart, for the hit film The Three Musketeers.
