The Dave Matthews Band is getting ready to hit the road for their eagerly-awaited 2008 tour. The group will play two area shows at Staples Center on August 19th and 20th with special guest The Dynamites featuring Charlie Walker. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 29th at 10AM at LiveNation.com.The Dave Matthews Band consists of Carter Beauford (drums), Stefan Lessard (bass), Dave Matthews (vocals, guitar), LeRoi Moore (saxophone) and Brad Tinsley (violin) has sold a collictive 35 million CD/DVD's combined since the 1994 release of its major label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming.
Los Angeles concertgoers will be the first to hear the latest material from Dave Matthews Band, as the group will debut songs from its forthcoming studio record. The chart-topping band is currently working with acclaimed producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Alanis Morissette) on the yet to be titled album, which is the follow-up to 2005's Stand Up, the forth consecutive Dave Matthews Band album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Guitarist and longtime friend Tim Reynolds is performing on the album, marking his first recording with the band since the 1998's Before These Crowded Streets.
